The Pain of Loving

They say love is a good feeling
Strong enough to shake the future
Extraordinary wonderful and amazing
Not of Earth but, of Heaven!

They say love is magic
Fills the heart with longing and desire
Teaches people to give
Without even expecting to receive

But, to me Loving is painful
Killing me slowly everyday
Makes me wince with agony
Fills me with pain and despair

A love I cannot show in deeds
A lover I cannot spend time with
A lover I cannot hug and kiss
A lover I cannot lay in bed with!
