wicked sunday - the bridal shower, the party, the drinks, the fun

Sunday, The Party (december 11th, 1 PM)
^v^
I'm not a big fan of bridal showers, but in some instances I have to play an active role in these shower parties, especially if I am good friends with the bride to be. As one of the organizers, I had to plan to games and food which proved not to be difficult at all. The difficulty lies in buying the perfect gift for a very good friend who is about to get married.
^v^
Clutching the perfectly-wrapped gift tightly, I headed towards my friend's pad. I could hear loud RnB music playing on the background as I knocked on my friend's front door. A few of the girls were already there. There was a weired tension in the air. An eerie quiet atmosphere. I simply ignored it. I went to the kitchen and made the cocktails. The bride to be was very quiet, yet she had a dignified and confident look in her.

While playing adult parlor games, we drank some cocktails and munched on some snack food. When it was time to open the presents, my friend, the bride to be started crying. She confessed that she wasn't ready to spend the rest of her life with this guy and that she didn't want to get married.

She returned our gifts, we all had more to drink and of course, we all tried to cheer her up! It was party time. Pretty soon, the room was filled with laughter, nice costumes, more drinks, shrieks and fun. Then, we talked. We talked about politics and current affairs. Nah! We talked about girlie things of course......... you know......... the usual stuff....................

Sunday, The Movie (december 11th, 6:45PM)
^v^
Another friend had a brilliant idea. She suggested that we all go to the cinema and watched de javu. We all approved! After all, I don't think a silly love-story or a comical move would be good for my ex-bride-to-be friend. De javu proved to be a good choice. It wasn't only interesting, but it was very intertaining. The story line is different than most movies, so it's kinda new and not something I've watched dozens of times.

Sunday, More Drinks & More Fun (december 11th, 9:00PM)
^v^
We headed to a nearby pub, drank some shooters, danced on the dance floor, talked some more, laughed loads and loads, then finally split. We all smiled as we waved at each other, while waiting for cabs on our way home.
^v^
I have to say that I really had loads of fun with my friends.
