I have been feeling very tired lately. My back was sore for a week, my shoulders and arms hurting, my legs shaky, my feet experiencing spasms, etc. Yes, I am in pain, but it is a good kind of pain actually. I think that swimming is worth it! I've been swimming for 2-3 hours everyday of the week for about 10 days now. I guess, I can say that I've been working my butt off. I don't mind working very hard for hours. I can be very determined if I choose to be. I believe that swimming is not just a great exercise, but is also an important skill for survival in the water.
For some reason, I have a hard time doing free-style.I do a fair job in breast stroke and I do a good job in back roll and butterfly! My instructor said, that I learn pretty quickly.My instructor is a great fellow, but I don't like it when he forces me to do laps in free-style though.
I've must have drank hundreds of gallons of pool water! I am kidding of course, but a little bit of the joke is true. At least now, I don't drink pool water anymore. My coconuts are still filled with water though and I can barely hear at all! I guess, it is all part of the swimming (learning) process.
I am very proud of myself for the effort and hard work I put into swimming. I used to be very terrified of water because I almost drowned when I was 10 years old. I'm glad I chose to face my fear head-on instead of doing nothing about it.
